I love “Have you tried the men’s section?” I had a great shopping experience in an outdoor clothing store in Canada. After trying to explain to my friends it wasn’t worth looking for a ski jacket in the women’s section due to my long arms I gave in and tried on a women’s size 12. Standing there with the sleeves reaching only to my elbows a sales assistant stopped to tell me there was a tall men’s section in the store I could try. Both my friends laughed, one doubled over and the other with tears rolling down her face. But I found the perfect fitting ski jacket which 10 years later is still used by all the females in my family for ski holidays!
Oh, yeah, absolutely — I have a Mooks men’s hoodie. I love it to death. Only reason I bought it was, my husband (boyfriend at the time) got sick of me stealing his jumpers and explained that if I loved the long sleeves and long torso THAT MUCH maybe I should buy a jumper of my own!
